Kanoo enlists F5 Networks to revamp IT infrastructure

Bahrain-based Kanoo Group of companies is set to revamp its IT infrastructure to drive a new wave of growth and improve customer service across the region.
The group has enlisted global application delivery networking leader F5 Networks, to help deliver sustainable and state-of-the-art data centre consolidation, high availability and improved security for all business applications and services.
F5 Networks will also bolster Kanoo’s scope for data centre redundancy.

The F5 Networks solutions at Kanoo’s UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain data centres include F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) to balance traffic across virtualised servers; F5 BIG-IP Advanced Firewall Manager (AFM) to filter incoming customer communications; and F5 BIG-IP Access Policy Manager (APM) to manage user authentication.
The wide-ranging project is set to improve business performance across all Kanoo divisions, including the largest travel and leisure company in the Middle East, as well as its trading, shipping, travel, machinery, oil and gas, logistics, specialty chemicals, and retail divisions.
