Introducing the new Truecaller....with intelligent and predictive
features
Truecaller launches its new app on Google Play
AMMAN, December 8, 2014
Truecaller, a leading search technology company that is transforming the phonebook to make it more intelligent and useful, has launched the new Truecaller on Google Play.
The new update focuses on predictive style features, which suggests who to contact based on call history, time of day and place, said a statement.
Already one of the world’s fastest growing startups, Truecaller has surpassed 100 million users globally, and has doubled its daily new users in less than three months, it said.
Consumers use Truecaller to identify unknown numbers, block unwanted calls, and search contact information among people and businesses. In addition to the surge in the user base, Truecaller also receives more than 1.5 billion search requests per month.
Alan Mamedi, co-founder and chief executive officer, said: “This is the first step we are taking to make Truecaller more intelligent and personal. We’ve made these advancement to save time for our users and make their lives less complicated when they want to get in touch with someone.
“Our ambition is to make your mobile phone smarter and become part of your mobile daily habits.”
Truecaller aims at solving a huge pain point for billions of consumers who use their phonebook on a daily basis, but often need to go outside of their app to find useful information they need, said the statement.
Similar to how Google has been able to combine information and intelligence, Truecaller uses its proprietary search technology and social graph, and combines it with hundreds of different sources such as Yelp! and social networks to create a smarter way for users to access current information across all social channels, platforms and devices, it said.
The app has been fully redesigned to provide easier discovery and simpler navigation, and rebuilt to make it much lighter in terms of memory consumption.
Its new features include receiving suggested contacts; keeping complete contact profiles; smarter search and discovery; and easily place calls and send texts, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
