Dubai Customs launches new smart watch services

DUBAI, October 12, 2014

Dubai Customs has announced the launch of new smart watch services, as part of its participation in the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) 2014, that opened in the Emirate today (October 12).

Dubai Customs is offering 15 smart watch services, including: Request for Client Registration Inquiry, Request for Trade Agency Registration, Trademark Registration, Request for Customs Opinion, Request for Appeal, Request for Goods Classification, Request for Reconciliation, Request for Guarantees / Deposits Claims and Refunds, Request for Customs License, Request for Certificate, Request for Report, Request for Awareness and Training, Submit Complaints, Suggestions and Enquiries, Contact Director General, and Submit RAFED Information.

Dubai Customs’ smart watch delivered services include Applications Progress Inquiry Service, Customs Declaration Progress Inquiry, Inspection Request Inquiry, Refund Application Progress Inquiry and Registration Application Progress Inquiry.

“With this new breakthrough, all of DC clients’ services are now catered online via smart watches. This advancement is geared to meet Dubai Smart Government’s strategy as our approach is to provide a multi-channel service delivery,” said Juma Al Ghaith, executive director of Customs development Division at Dubai Customs.

“Dubai Customs never spares any effort to seek further innovation in the field of customer service,” Al Ghaith added, highlighting the flagship launching of the new version of DC smart watch-enabled website which provides more flexible and easy access to the needed services. – TradeArabia News Service
