Batelco strengthens ties with Palo Alto Networks

Manama, August 13, 2014

Bahrain’s leading telecom operator Batelco is now a silver level partner with Palo Alto Networks, a global provider of next-generation enterprise security solutions.

Palo Alto Networks technologies protect enterprises from targeted attacks, safely enable business applications and provide breakthrough visibility of unknown malware and zero-day exploits, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Batelco's enterprise division general manager Adel Daylami said businesses require a new approach to security as they update their information systems and battle advanced threats.

“The enterprise network information technology (IT) security market is undergoing dynamic evolution as effective firewalls are becoming increasingly necessary,” he said.

“Palo Alto Networks has the expertise to address advanced targeted threats which make them an ideal fit for Batelco's needs.

“Thanks to the partnership with Palo Alto Networks, Batelco can deliver a security management solution that offers enterprises greater visibility and control of their IT security infrastructure,’’ added Daylami.

The partnership is part of Batelco's ongoing efforts to expand its network of partners across the globe to be able to provide customers with the most advanced communications facilities and services as they become available internationally.

“The silver partnership will bolster the relationship between Batelco and Palo Alto Networks and open up new horizons of co-operation between the two organisations,” Daylami added. - TradeArabia News Service
