Aruba names hospitality business manager

Dubai, April 14, 2014

Aruba Networks, a leading provider of next-generation network access solutions for the mobile enterprise, has appointed Graeme Kane as regional hospitality business development manager for GCC, Egypt and Turkey.

In this new role, Graeme is responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand Aruba’s customer base in the hospitality sector, a key vertical in which the company has been experiencing a great deal of success with a number of high profile wireless network project implementations across the region.

Ammar Enaya, regional director at Aruba Networks Middle East & Turkey said: “With upcoming mega events like Dubai Expo 2020 and the World Cup in Qatar in 2022, the outlook for the region’s hospitality and tourism industry is extremely positive.”

“Recent industry reports indicating that Dubai plans to almost double the number of hotel rooms by 2020, Saudi Arabia’s hospitality sector is growing at an annual rate over 8.5 per cent with 155 new hotels expected to open the Kingdom during 2014-2015 and the Middle East outstripping Europe in building big hotels, are all very encouraging and presents us with huge business opportunities.

“We are witnessing rapid uptake of Aruba’s solutions in this sector as high speed and reliable wireless connectivity provided to hotel guests in this mobile age has become a key competitive advantage. We believe that under Graeme’s leadership, we will be able to capitalize on market opportunities and enjoy even greater success.”

Kane has over 16 years of experience in the ICT Industry, specializing in telecommunications & networking. For the past 8 years he has been based in UAE, working in the hospitality and healthcare vertical at Avaya.

“Today’s tech-savvy members of #GenMobile always travel with three or more mobile devices. And when they arrive at hospitality venues, they’ll demand to connect to everything all the time, making it essential to provide a memorable guest Wi-Fi experience,” said Kane.

“Guests expect always-on Wi-Fi to find in-venue activities, access self-service apps and stream content without delay.

“Aruba provides smarter, adaptive wireless network infrastructure that enables secure Wi-Fi access to thousands of devices at a time, supports mobile collaboration for staff, and enables personalized and location-based mobile engagement for guests. The company’s wireless technology leadership coupled with its rich experience in the hospitality sector augurs well for the future.”

Aruba has a strong portfolio of customers in the hospitality sector including big name hotels like Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi and Kempinski hotel in Mall of the Emirates. – TradeArabia News Service
