Bookings boost for key Bahrain IT event
Manama, April 2, 2014
Space bookings at the Bahrain IT Expo 2014 has reached 50 per cent of the allocated spaces for this year's event, said its organisers.
The IT expo will be organised in parallel with the Bahrain International eGovernment Forum 2014 to be held from April 22 to 23 at the Bahrain International Circuit under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Supreme Committee for Information Technology and Communications chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.
The exhibition had achieved major success in previous years with last year's expo attracting more than 70 exhibitors, said Project Management Institute - Arabian Gulf Chapter (PMI-AGC) sponsorship and exhibition committee head and director of corporate liaison Ahmed Naeemi.
Space bookings within the eGovernment Authority pavilion are still available for government entities that offer eServices to citizens. The integrated, exclusive area has been allocated for each exhibitor and equipped with display screens, laptops, along with space to showcase the work and activities of each government entity, he added.
Registration is also opened for the private sector, non-government organisations (NGOs) and educational institutions to participate in the exhibition.
To cater to the increased participation, the exhibition space has doubled this year as the sponsorship and exhibition committee is anticipating more than 100 exhibitors, particularly regional and global participations, along with government participation.
According to the Bahrain IT Expo 2014 agenda, Shaikh Mohammed will inaugurate the exhibition on April 22 and it will continue on the second day at the Bahrain International Circuit, Paddock Hall from 9am to 5pm, along with the other parallel activities of the Bahrain International eGovernment Forum.-TradeArabia News Service
