Abu Dhabi-based major oil & gas service provider Emdad has signed up Epicor Software Corporation to deploy its next-generation  enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions at its units.
 
A leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, Epicor said as per the deal its ERP modules, including project management, supply chain management, human capital management and customer relationship management will be implemented at Emdad’s head office in Abu Dhabi.

Emdad said it had selected Epicor as its preferred vendor due to the superior functionality of the Epicor solutions, its excellent fit within the oil & gas industry, and robust regional customer references.

“After rigorous consultations with various vendors we found Epicor to have the best solutions for our Oil & Gas services and EPC contracting business,” remarked Samir Al Otaibi, the finance manager at Emdad.

“We have been able to achieve industry leadership status through our strategic business and operational models, and this is something that Epicor ERP will further enhance. The new ERP systems we are incorporating will enable us to focus more on our core activities and better help the energy players of Abu Dhabi achieve higher levels of performance and reliability,” he added.
