Sharp showcases gesture-control display wall

Sharp Middle East & Africa is showcasing its first gesture-controlled interactive display wall in the Middle East at the InfoComm MEA 2013, as part of Gitex Technology Week in Dubai.

The technology is being displayed across a 3x3 configuration of the new ‘Slim Bezel Signage Monitors,’ creating a large 180-inch panel display wall, at the event taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, said a statement.

It features interactive and intelligent applications; enabling users to interact and control a variety of applications across the panels which run on advanced software solutions. It can be customised to suit the requirements of business users across multiple industry segments, it said.

“Due to strong growth in our corporate and education business pillars, as well as an elevated demand for our interactive display panels within the retail sector, we have utilised this event to showcase Sharp’s latest technology,” said Tomoo Shimizu, director, Business Solutions Division, Sharp Middle East and Africa.
