Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) has signed a strategic partnership agreement for the upcoming MEET ICT conference in the kingdom, a report said.
Organised by WorkSmart for events management, the fourth edition of the event will be held from December 10 to 12, under the patronage of Transportation Minister Kamal Ahmed, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.
The agreement is part of the organisation's strategy of co-operating with local companies and participating in conferences and events related to information and communication technology (ICT).
Through the event, the kingdom would host international experts and decision-makers who play key roles in international and regional companies.
The experts will address vital industry issues and challenges, leading to identification of growth opportunities in the field.
The event will also feature external visits, business matching sessions and a full-day workshop.
The Bahrain International Technology Exhibition will also be held concurrently with local and regional ICT companies showcasing latest products and services under one roof.
BTECH chairman Ubaydli Ubaydli stressed on the importance of such events for the economy and reputation of the kingdom.
"The conference has become a significant annual event with the endorsement of the industry because of the outcomes generated," he said.
"The qualifications and the experience of the speakers will allow them to draw a roadmap to the industry and it will be presented to the delegates for their knowledge and input," Mr Ubaydli added.
"We will invite all companies to send their IT staff to participate in MEET ICT, as it is always good to meet, discuss and work for the welfare of the industry," he added. – TradeArabia News Service
