Canon wins honours at TIPA Awards

Canon Middle East said it has won five awards from the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA), a leading photo imaging and press association.

The TIPA Awards recognise the outstanding imaging products launched in the past year. Canon has been acknowledged for its industry-leading quality present across its product line-up, said a statement.

The following awards were granted:

•    Best DSLR Entry Level: Canon EOS 100D, a small 18 MP DSLR camera with a 3-inch LCD screen
•    Best DSLR Expert: Canon EOS 6D, 20.2 MP CMOS DSLR camera with 3-inch LCD screen
•    Best Professional DSLR Lens: Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM, a redesigned upgrade of the model
•    Best Expert Photo Printer: Canon PIXMA PRO-10, a professional inkjet printer
•    Best Video DSLR: Canon EOS-1DC, an 18.1 MP CMOS with cinematic quality and full HD video

The TIPA panel, which meets annually, comprises editors from 28 leading photography and imaging magazines, spanning 15 countries across five continents.

The panel discusses the latest products and considers a range of factors, from innovation to design and overall product quality, when selecting and acknowledging the best imaging products, it said. - TradeArabia News Service
