The event was held under the patronage of Prince Mishaal bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, governor of Jeddah, and supported by the Ministry of Health, Saudi Food and Drug Authority and the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at the Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events from April 6 to 8.

Awal's engagement in this event underscores the company's ongoing efforts to support and help develop the growth and performance of the local medical sector, a statement from the company said.

MedExpo Saudi Arabia 2013 is an international healthcare exhibition and forum in the Kingdom that focuses on a wide array of health sectors, including medical, dentistry, ophthalmology, laboratories, pharmaceutical & biotechnology and medical tourism.

The event attracted around 200 exhibitors from 27 countries. A series of workshops and seminars addressing various topics, including ways of improving healthcare in Saudi Arabia, were held on the sidelines of the event and delivered by leading experts in the medical field. – TradeArabia News Service
