Bahrain hospital wins top ICT honours

King Hamad University Hospital, the second major public hospital in Bahrain, said it has won recognition for its information and communication technology (ICT) expertise at a recent ceremony held in Dubai.

The Muharraq-based hospital received the 'Healthcare Deployment of the Year' award at the ITP Middle East ICT Achievement Awards 2012.

Bahrain-based ICT company Azimuth developed the real time location, asset management and security systems for the hospital.

Chief medical officer and commander Major General Dr Shaikh Salman bin Ateyatala Al Khalifa and Azimuth executive director Hugh Haskell-Thomas were present at the award ceremony.-TradeArabia News Service
