Batelco to remove unused payphones

Manama, July 9, 2012

Batelco, the leading telecom services provider in Bahrain, has selected for possible removal a number of older payphones which are rarely or never used by the public.

The company is requesting feedback from its customers regarding such payphones.

These payphones have been marked with stickers and Batelco is asking customers to contact them within 60 days of the date of this announcement (July 8) with any objection they may have to the removal of these specific phones.

Customers are asked to forward their concerns by calling Batelco Customer Care Helpdesk.

Batelco carried out a similar exercise last year when a number of rarely used payphones were removed following consultation with customers.

“The object of this investigation is to serve our customers better by offering them a chance to raise any concerns they might have with the removal of certain payphones in the selected areas,” explained Batelco Group general manager Media Relations Ahmed Al Janahi. – TradeArabia News Service
