Du launches mobile games service

Dubai, January 24, 2012

Du, a leading telecom service provider in the UAE, has launched its Games Club, enabling customers to choose from over 1,000 games in the catalogue directly from their mobiles.

There are no data charges for browsing through Games Club or to download and play the games, though there is a daily subscription of Dh2 ($0.54), a statement said.

“We are pleased to be able to offer an exclusive and engaging service to our customers with Games Club. There’s never been a better gaming deal in your palm,” said Farid Faraidooni, chief commercial officer, du.

Games Club also provides an improved search and discovery functionality and will only return games in the search list which are compatible with the user’s handset.

Games Club is a subscription service that allows customers to choose games from a variety of categories such as action, adventure, puzzle, fun or casual games as well as feature games from popular games creator Electronic Arts (EA Games).

The mobile content has been developed in association with Nazara Technologies, a leading mobile entertainment company. – TradeArabia News Service
