Qatar, Luxembourg firm ink satellite deal

ictQatar, the telecom regulatory authority in Qatar, and Luxembourg-based SES, which owns top satellite operators SES Astra and SES World Skies, have signed an agreement on joint satellite platforms, networks and services.

ictQatar and SES will explore co-operation opportunities for the provision of satellite platforms, networks and services in the Middle East and beyond.

The scope includes the provision of SES satellite capacity for the joint development of space assets and orbital positions as well as the associated ground segment, a statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
