TRA discusses Bahrain fixed linked policy

Manama, June 7, 2011

The Bahrain Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) officials held discussions on the fixed linked policy at a key meeting of the Radiocommunications Consultative Committee (RCC).

The RCC meeting was convened to conclude a licensing and frequency assignment policy for microwave point-to-point links, which was finalised and will be implemented from July 1.

The meeting was held at its Seef headquarters under the chairmanship of technical and operations director Mohamed Mahmood.

The third RCC meeting will take place on October 5. It will address spectrum allocation and licensing of post third generation public mobile telecommunications in Bahrain.

Public mobile telecommunications in-building coverage issues will be probed at a later meeting.-TradeArabia News Service
