Batelco, the leading telecom service provider in Bahrain, sponsored a series of science workshops which began in December and have taken place in 10 of the Kingdom’s private schools.

Mad Science, a fun and interactive learning programme that introduces young children to the world of science, has been in operation for over 20 years and today has networks operating in 20 countries, including Bahrain since 2007.

The Batelco sponsored workshop introduced children to the world of telecommunications and how it works, through a variety of visually appealing demonstrations and by building mini communication networks right in the classroom.

Batelco recently sponsored the final ‘Get Connected with Batelco’ Mad Science programme, held at the British School of Bahrain.

“The Mad Science team in Bahrain delivered highly entertaining, hands-on science experiences for children with customised programmes that are as enjoyable as they are educational,” said Ahmed Al Janahi, Batelco Group general manager Media Relations.
