Mahindra Satyam seals Omran ERP deal

Mahindra Satyam, a leading global consulting and IT services provider, has signed a deal with Omran, the tourism development and investment arm of Oman, for implementation of a key ERP software.
Mahindra Satyam, part of the $7 billion India's Mahindra Group, said its Oracle Practice will join hands with local partner Bahwan IT for implementation of software at Omran.
The implementation of the ERP system will include solutions across Finance, HRMS, Payroll and Procurement functions, it added.
Wael bin Ahmed Al Lawati, chief executive officer, Omran, said, 'We selected Mahindra Satyam as our partner for the Oracle ERP implementation because we recognized its excellence and competence and the result of years of global Oracle experience.'
“Mahindra Satyam and Oracle's solutions will support Omran at all levels and will help streamline the various units and enable an orderly growth of our business,” Al Lawati observed.
According to him, this will help Omran standardize and automate business processes across its units, thereby enabling faster decision making, providing better service to all its stakeholders.
The solution will help automate most organizational functions and provide improved business processes for Omran, Al Lawati added.
Bobby Gupta, vice president and head of Mena, Mahindra Satyam said the contract was a manifestation of its ability to provide specialized solutions in the field of e-governance and also underlined the upshot of its strategic partnership with Oracle and expertise in implementing enterprise ready Oracle solutions.
