Dubai-based Optimus Technology and Telecoms, a regional value-added distributor of IT and telecommunications products, has signed a strategic alliance with Netgear to distribute its range of products targeting the SMB segment.

Netgear is a leading global vendor offering a range of networking solutions targeting the retail segment as well as in the Business solutions space.

As per the agreement, Optimus will distribute Netgear’s products across the Middle East and Africa with exclusive distribution rights in the countries such as Qatar, Kuwait and Oman.

“This partnership is very important to Optimus as it provides access to a range of mid-market networking, storage and security solutions that are technically strong, yet highly price competitive. Netgear solutions complement Optimus by enabling it to provide a solution offering in the SMB space,” remarked Suraj Thampi, Group CEO, Optimus.

Netgear’s Business solutions include the ProSafe range of switches and ProSecure UTM gateway appliances.
