Umniah subscriber base hits 2 million

Jordanian telecom services provider Umniah said its subscriber base touched two million within a record breaking period of five years of operation in the Kingdom.

The company said its mobile market share too jumped to over 30 per cent by the end of November.

To celebrate this achievement, Umniah has announced a major raffle draw offering subscribers valuable prizes, including 2011 BMW Cars, 32-inch LCD Sony TV sets, MSI Netbook laptops, and Star WiFi Samsung mobile devices, said a senior official.

Ihab Hinnawi, Umniah CEO, said: 'We are proud of our subscribers’ confidence in our services amidst a market characterized by sharp competition and fast development. We believe that this success is the product of the ongoing collective efforts that are invested by both Umniah’s team and senior management.'

'We have continuously aimed to respond to Jordanian citizens’ various responses regarding available telecom services, and have always maintained our ongoing studies into the market’s directives and needs, in order to provide solutions that correspond with our community’s aspirations,' he added.

Under the prize scheme, Umniah will be giving out instant prizes such as free bonus minutes, SMS rewards, and discounts on monthly subscriptions’ invoices.-TradeArabia News Service
