Enoc wins award for innovative IT use

Dubai, November 29, 2010

Enoc has been named as one of the ‘Top 20 innovative users of IT for Business’ in the Middle East.

The awards, presented by Computer News Middle East, celebrate the top 20 organisations in the region that use information technology in innovative ways to deliver business value by creating competitive advantage, optimising business processes, enabling growth or improving relationships with customers.

The award was given to Enoc’s IT ‘Infrastructure Consolidation Project’. The year-long project established a unified network with enhanced security, reduced telecommunication costs, and improved proactive management. The project also deployed 3G technology to seamlessly connect Enoc’s 180 retail operations in the UAE.

“The award-winning project reduced costs considerably and improved the quality of services across all our network links,” said Saeed Abdullah Khoory, Enoc Group chief executive.

Enoc’s IT department provides shared services to different lines of businesses, ranging from bottled and industrial liquefied natural gas, to oil refining, and to a network of over 180 retail service stations.-TradeArabia News Service
