Vasco signs up Secureway as ME distributor

Vasco Data Security International, a leading software security company specialising in strong authentication products, said it has signed a non-exclusive distribution agreement with Dubai based Secureway.
As per the deal, Secureway will distribute Vasco's leading Digipass, Vacman and Identikey range to the region's enterprise security market.
Secureway already has a major presence in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen and Pakistan, the company said.
Vasco's best of breed authentication solutions replace static passwords with dynamic one-time passwords eliminating unauthorized access to networks, applications and business-critical data, it added.
The company also offers e-signature solutions to secure online (monetary) transactions circumventing phishing and man-in-the-middle attacks, said a top official.
'The Middle East is an important focus area for Vasco,' said Jan Valcke, Vasco's president and COO.
'The regional enterprise IT market is mature and flourishing. As a result, hackers and fraudsters might shift their attention to the Middle East as a hunting ground. Together with Secureway, we will make the Middle East enterprise market a more secure place to do business,' he remarked.
With several Vasco solutions partners in its portfolio, Secureway will offer product bundles to its reseller base, by harnessing Fortinet, F5 and Imprivata solutions with Vasco's authentication technology, he added.
Fari Boustantchi, Secureway CEO, said partnering with Vasco was a strategically important move for the company.
'Vasco is well established in the Mideast market and has built a very positive reputation in the sector. Simultaneously with this deal with Vasco, we have signed a partnership contract with Imprivata, resulting in a complete security offering for enterprises.'
