Gitex to close today in Dubai

The 30th edition of Gitex Technology Week (Gitex), the leading ICT exhibition in the region, will conclude today, with tens of thousands of visitors having already attended the world’s third largest ICT event.
Gitex opened on October 17 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
On the final day of Gitex Mobile Apps & Content World, a new introduction to Gitex Technology Week this year, ICT leaders will discuss regional start-ups. Joi Ito, CEO, Creative Solutions who has received recognition for his role as entrepreneur focused on Internet and technology companies, will address the session on ‘Regional Start up Showcase,’ organised in association with TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs).
The Developer Day, a key component of the Global Conferences, also takes place with Microsoft Technologies, Oracle, VMWare and Red Hat sharing insights and discussing the latest technologies and development platforms.
Gitex Global Conference also presents its final sessions on topics such as driving growth in emerging markets, outsourcing and information storage, among others.

At Consumer Electronics, open for free to the public, visitors can familiarize with the latest products and innovations as well as the newest and gadgets.
