Dubai, October 19, 2010

The official website of Dubai eGovernment Department, www.deg.gov.ae, was launched on the first day of the ongoing Gitex Technology Week 2010.

The website, which was launched by the department on the sidelines of its participation in Gitex Technology Week, is regarded as the official window of communication with Dubai Government department employees, the media and the public, and is aimed at showcasing the services provided by the department to boost eTransformation in the emirate.

On its website, the department showcases both Dubai’s eTransformation policies and monitoring of eTransformation quality.

The new website offers the possibility to view detailed information on specific services including eJob, mPay, eComplain, ePay and mDubai, in addition to several select services provided by the government departments to individuals.

“We are striving to achieve our vision for a connected and integrated government and integrate our processes with all Dubai Government entities, the private sector and other stakeholders in order to serve our customers better,” stated Ahmed Bin Humaidan, director general, Dubai eGovernment.

“The new website is only a first technological phase which will be followed by successive phases to enrich the content  and services provided to government employees and the  public,” Bin Humaidan added, noting that the department would strive in the period ahead to develop the website into the official gateway for the departments seeking Dubai eGovernment’s services.-TradeArabia News Service
