Dubai, October 16, 2010
Pano Logic, a leader in zero client desktop virtualization, is set to launch its ‘Zero Client’ system at the upcoming Gitex 2010 expo offering customers and visitors first-hand experience of the innovative desktop virtualization technology.
Pano Logic ME, the sole distributors in the region for Pano Logic, said by radically centralizing desktop management, support, and the user experience to the virtualized server, the Pano System eliminates endpoint security breaches, drastically reduces energy consumption and slashes the total cost of ownership (TCO) of computing.
On the product, Sherif Hamed, CEO of Pano Logic ME said, 'Imagine a tool that enables IT staff to quickly and easily deploy, manage and support user desktops entirely from within the data center (centralized server) including provisioning, troubleshooting, backups and upgrades while also eliminating potential security breaches.'
'The Pano zero client devices are simple and easy to use and offer an all-in-one hardware-and-software platform which is purpose built for virtualization,' he explained.
'Weighing less than 500 grams, the device consumes 97 per cent less energy than even the most energy-efficient PCs and reduces the total cost of ownership by 80 per cent.' Hamed said.
‘Go Green’ is a philosophy that we strongly believe in and will translate into less IT expenses for our customers and also have tremendous impact on our business. Pano Logic’s zero client technology is definitely one of the most exciting IT solutions that will radically change desktop computing in the Middle East”, he added.
According to Hamed, Pano Zero clients contain no processor, OS, storage, drivers or any moving parts and last for seven to ten years, compared to the average 15-pound PC that lasts three to five years, resulting in a dramatic reduction in e-waste.
'The Pano System is designed to make it as easy for customers to purchase, install, and support virtual desktops. Government entities and organizations in banking, education, health care, law, and manufacturing among others can achieve dramatic savings and benefits,' he added.-TradeArabia News Service
