Madayn in deal to set up industrial gas unit in Oman

Oman's Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) has announced that it has signed the first investment contract with Desert Sand Mobile Trading to set up a manufacturing unit for liquefied and compressed gases used in medical and construction activities within its Al Mudhaibi Industrial City.
The key project, which will come up on a 16,000 sq m area, is being set up at an investment of RO2 million ($5.2 million).
Construction work will start early next year, coinciding with assigning the recent announced tender for the development of Al Mudhaibi Industrial City.
Phase One of the Industrial City will cover approximately 2.5 million sqm and include key services such as road, water and sewage networks, lighting, security fencing, and surveillance system.
Additionally, several ready-made industrial units, each covering 500 sqm area, will be established within Madayn Entrepreneurial Complex, said the statement.
The development will also comprise the facility building, service centre among other facilities, it added.
