Batelco replaces DDI with new system
Manama, October 4, 2010
Batelco, the leading telecom services provider in Bahrain, is replacing its Direct Dial In (DDI) with the modern ISDN (integrated services digital network) service.
ISDN supports the same range of features provided by the DDI service, plus several additional advanced features required by today’s business customers, the telecom company said in a statement.
Batelco began the phase out of its DDI service, which was offered previously as a feature of PBX (private branch exchange), on October 1.
“As in all communication technologies, older products and services are continually being replaced with innovative and advanced newer ones and Batelco continues to move with the times in order to meet the public demand for the latest means of communicating with each other,” said Ahmed Al Janahi Batelco Group General manager media relations.
“Since the beginning of 2010, any customers using the DDI services have been contacted directly by Batelco account managers to discuss and implement the best options to suit their specific business requirements.”
“As a company committed to being at the forefront of technological innovation, Batelco introduces new products and services as they become available on the world market to ensure that their customers have access to world-class integrated communications,” Al Janahi concluded. – TradeArabia News Service
