WorkLight, Sage ink partnership deal

New York, September 15, 2010

WorkLight, a leading mobile application platform for smartphones and laptops, has joined hands with Sage, a key supplier of business management software, to deliver mobile applications for money management and fund administration.

The agreement will make it easier for financial institutions around the world to extend their offerings to the growing array of smartphones and tablets, said the two companies. The partnership covers the financial services market in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

As per the deal, Sage will integrate the WorkLight Mobile Platform with its own Prospero, and develop mobile applications that enable its customers to mobilize all aspects of financial operations, including asset management, wealth management and fund administration.

"We have seen increasing demand from our customers and the general market for rich mobile applications that meet the needs of the buy-side and sell-side financial communities," said Patrick Rotzetter, chief of Business Development at Sage.

"The WorkLight mobile application platform allows us to efficiently and reliably extend Prospero’s modular software across multiple devices and deliver an optimal mobile experience," he noted.

Prospero is a suite of software modules that fills the needs of global financial professionals, including portfolio managers, brokers, traders and risk and operations managers. Modules are available for wealth, asset and credit management, fund administration, independent financial advisory, treasury, trading and core operations.

"Companies in the financial services market and beyond must now support a multitude of mobile devices, which creates a series of challenges both for developer teams and IT operations," said Kurt Daniel, COO of WorkLight.

The WorkLight platform includes the WorkLight Studio for native and web application development, the WorkLight Server for secure delivery and backend integration with enterprise systems and the WorkLight Console for deployment, ongoing management and tracking of applications.

"We are pleased to welcome Sage as an OEM and reseller partner and contribute WorkLight’s technology advantages across the entire lifecycle of mobile applications," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
