EMC names new VP and GM

EMC Corporation, a leading information infrastructure solutions provider, has promoted Mohammed Amin to the position of vice president and general manager for Turkey, Emerging Africa & Middle East Region.
A 21- year veteran of the IT industry, Amin will be responsible for further cementing EMC’s leadership across the region.
He will continue to report to Frederic Dussart, EMC senior vice president, regional country manager, Europe South, Middle East and Africa.
"Mohammed has brought extensive industry experience and superior knowledge of the Middle East and Africa markets,” said Dussart.
“We believe that his skills, vision, commitment and expertise will strengthen EMC’s market leadership across various product segments and industry sectors and solidify the brand’s position in a region that is forecast to outpace any other in terms of ICT spend.”
Mohammed Amin most recently served as the regional manager of EMC Middle East and North West East Central Africa and Turkey.
Based in EMC’s regional headquarters in Dubai, Amin has overseen the opening of EMC offices in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, Nigeria and Qatar.
He and his team have launched a diversity of new technologies in the region and have driven implementations of EMC latest technologies with customers to help them improve their ROI and their IT operational efficiency.
Prior to joining EMC, Amin held Middle East-based management positions with major hardware and networking vendors.
