Nawras records 2 million customers

Muscat, August 16, 2010

Nawras, a leading telecom service provider in Oman and a Qtel Group company, recently marked the achievement of serving more than two million mobile customers in the Sultanate.

Starting as a mobile company employing 250 employees in March 2005, Nawras has now grown to become a full service provider with around 800 staff, it said in a statement.

“We are extremely grateful to the more than two million people in Oman who are our valued customers and we thank them for choosing to rely on our innovative mobile service to get closer to their friends and families”, said Ross Cormack, Nawras CEO.

“Now that Nawras has become a full service provider, we are excited to be introducing Nawras broadband and voice to homes and businesses across the Sultanate and we are looking forward to serving a growing number of customers with even more services,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
