Alcatel-Lucent said it has selected Jeddah-based Baud Telecommunications Company (BTC Networks), a leading Middle East telecommunications provider and systems integrator, as its new strategic business partner in Saudi Arabia.

Under an agreement signed by the duo, BTC Networks will offer the full suite of Alcatel-Lucent’s enterprise communications solutions to business of all sizes in the Saudi market.

The agreement is intended to expand opportunities for both companies in Saudi Arabia and enable them to better meet the communications needs of the fast-growing Saudi enterprise market.

Alcatel-Lucent and BTC Networks have collectively developed a plan to approach the market, which will be a combined strategy to differentiate itself in the Saudi market, said a top official.

“BTC Networks strives to provide businesses of all sizes communications solutions that enable them to operate more profitably and adapt new technology more quickly,” said Alawi Baroum, the executive director at BTC Networks.

“Businesses in the Kingdom increasingly are demanding innovative and advanced telecommunications services, and we believe that our understanding of the local market coupled with the solutions developed by Alcatel-Lucent will enable us to meet that need and advance business communications throughout Saudi Arabia,” he added.

According to Penel, the Alcatel-Lucent’s broad portfolio of enterprise solutions combined with BTC Networks experience and capabilities in integration, implementation and maintenance of voice and data networks will create a distinctive offering in the Saudi marketplace.
