SSS Process in training and jobs pact
Amman, October 27, 2009
SSS Process, a Jordanian-Saudi company specialising in e-government services, recently signed an agreement with the Jordanian government to train and employ fresh Jordanian graduates who meet the company’s employment needs.
“This agreement [signed with both of the Jordanian Ministry of Labor and Ministry of Information and Communication Technology] comes out of our desire to minimize the unemployment rate in the local market in general and in the IT sector in particular,” said Alaa Ensheiwat, chief executive officer of the company.
According to Ensheiwat, the company is seeking to benefit from the Jordanian graduates’ competencies, emphasising the importance of more local IT sector companies to join the national initiative launched by the Jordanian government represented by the labour and communication ministries.
The programme aims at minimising the gap between the market requirements from skills and experiences and the fresh graduates’ knowledge within the specialties of ICT.
This will also supply the sector with qualified human resources that will reduce the training burden on the companies in addition to the increase of employment opportunities for interns in permanent jobs during and after their internships both inside and outside Jordan which will in turn reduce the unemployment rate in the Kingdom, said a statement. – TradeArabia News Service
