Optimus, a leading technology distribution company, signed a partnership agreement with Tandberg, a top video conferencing and immersion solutions provider, towards promoting Tandberg’s products through its channel networks.
Optimus’ channel network includes markets such as Egypt, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Afghanistan, Chad, Gaza Strip, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, West Bank and Yemen.
“We are delighted to sign the channel development partner (CDP) agreement with Tandberg for the Middle East Region,” said Meera Kaul, managing director at Optimus Technology and Telecom.
“Tandberg’s world-class video conferencing and immersion solutions will be a great value-add for our channel partners’ offerings and complements Optimus’ telephony product portfolio,” she added.
“We are excited about expanding our product range by including Tandberg’s products and are sure that our strengths in providing technology and telecom solutions and our expertise in providing world-class solutions will prove to be a winning combination.”
Tandberg's products include Telepresence, video systems, management tools, network infrastructure, multipoint control units, and peripherals and accessories.
The company runs a global partner program called Tandberg enVision Partner Program, which certifies partners according to their level of competence, capacity and commitment to Tandberg as either a platinum partner, a premier partner or an authorized partner.
As a channel development partner for the Middle East region, Optimus will help manage and develop a group of Tandberg enVision partners on behalf of the company.
Optimus will also be responsible for helping build the market for Tandberg, and identifying candidate partners for certification by Tandberg.
“Optimus is an established distribution company, which offers a unique value-added proposition with a reputation for expertise and customer service,” said Georges Lemire, head of channels Southern EMEA and general manager Middle East at Tandberg.
“The company has a similar vision in building the communications and immersion market place, thus acting as part of Tandberg’s own team in the region. Optimus is a value added distributor that provides a range of services and facilities that would enhance the channel partner offering and increase Tandberg’s market share.”
“Signing Optimus as our partner adds significant value to Tandberg’s channel development program. It allows us to reach a greater number of partners and also allows our current partners a wider choice for their preferred supplier. We are confident of a long and successful relationship with Optimus,” concluded Lemire. – TradeArabia News Service
