Etihad Atheeb Telecom (GO), the newest telecom operator in Saudi Arabia, has appointed Eng Zaid AlShabanat as the chief operating officer (COO).

In his new position, AlShabanat will be responsible for developing and leading the network and information technology in the company.

Dr Ahmed bin Abbas Sindi, CEO, said: “The creation of this new position is a step forward to ensuring the commitment of Etihad Atheeb Telecom to empower the executive level within the company, and to develop a strong structure enabling the company to move forward towards operational excellence by attracting the best Saudi human resources in kingdom and the region.

AlShabanat has a successful track record and a wealth of experience accumulated over the last 20 years in marketing and sales, management, and networks operation.
