Dubai, June 10, 2009
Du, the UAE’s integrated telecom provider, has launched the ‘One World, One Rate’ roaming tariff that offers users more value, simplicity and convenience from their du mobile service, while roaming abroad.
With the ‘One World, One Rate’, du customers roaming abroad will pay a flat rate of Dh1.25 ( 340 cents) per minute for incoming calls, said Farid Faraidooni, EVP Commercial, du.
'All du postpaid customers who have activated roaming service will automatically get the benefit of One World One rate tariff. All du prepaid customers will also get the benefit of the great offer,' he noted.
'We want to make mobility simpler, better value, and more accessible and convenient for our customers,' he pointed out.
Our enhanced roaming footprint now covers 374 global telecom operators and along with this tariff will give users peace of mind for using du mobile services, whenever and wherever they go abroad,' he observed.
Faraidooni said the unique benefit on offer, will serve to make du the preferred provider for international roaming and mobility services when leaving the country.
The One World, One Rate from du follows the ‘One Region, One Rate’ tariff scheme launched by du in 2008, on which all incoming calls in the GCC for du customers are charged at just Dh1.25 per minute, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
