Sidsa to feature digital video broadcast

Dubai, April 23, 2009

Sidsa, an international provider of digital technology, will feature ‘cutting edge’ digital broadcast TV products and services as well as conditional access system for PayTV at an upcoming telecom summit, said a top company official.

Sidsa, which is strengthening its presence in the Middle East and African countries with digital video broadcasting (DVB) trials, will present its latest DVB technology at the Arabcom International Telecom (AIT) Summit 2009, to be held in Lebanon on May 28 and 29.

Sidsa has become a key technology figure in Eastern Europe, Russia and Iran among other countries, promoting the DVB technologies and preparing for a massive growth of the digital TV market.

“At the AIT summit, Sidsa will bring its experience in the region and feature its cutting-edge digital broadcast TV (DVB-H, DVB-T and DVB-C) products and services, and conditional access (CA) system for PayTV KeyFly 2.0Xtreme, probably the most advanced CA system in the market”, said Juan San Martin, business development of Sidsa.

“KeyFly 2.0Xtreme relies at the receiver side on Sidsa security chip, the K1, making possible a cost-effective, top-secure and renewable solution that meets the demands of Pay-TV operators and broadcasters,” he added.

“KeyFly 2.0Xtreme can be implemented in CAM modules (PCMCIA/CI cards) and embedded in STB, making possible a flexible and open solution enabling both horizontal and vertical markets.”

Graphite Subscriber Manager is the subscriber manager by Sidsa that allows the commercial operation of KeyFly2.0Xtreme CAS.

It provides simple user-friendly Web interface to configure and operate KeyFly 2.0Xtreme system: define packages/bouquets, products, pricing, manage users, subscriptions and create reports.

The company is able to provide complete turn-key solutions to its customers, being specially known for the high degree of interoperability and resilience of the solution.

In addition, the company is introducing the brand new Telefunken Touch mTV phones that are revolutionising the DVB-H mobile TV market since they are ready to receive pure DVB-H mobile TV signals and DTT transmissions.

Sidsa can provide its customers with an even more complete solution.

“Sidsa’s solution is fully modular, ranging from content aggregation and adaptation, personalization and protection, distribution, transmission, configuration and management to final user’s devices,” said San Martin.

“Its open architecture approach based in all the products and services encourages the best solution for any particular needs from the customer and at the same time ensures being the most cost effective.”

There are really few companies in the world that have such an end-to-end approach in the broadcast world, he added.

Sidsa helps operators by optimising Opex and Capex while maximizing revenue from value-added services.

It can be achieved by helping design business models for individual market situations and then speed-up implementing them through hosting, turnkey and other customised solutions. – TradeArabia News Service
