Huawei to showcase broadband solutions
Dubai, April 23, 2009
Huawei Technologies, a leading telecom network solutions provider, will be showcasing its comprehensive series of innovative end-to-end broadband solutions at an upcoming telecom and finance event.
Huawei will also hold discussions on broadband convergence and the latest green technologies.
The third annual TelecomFinance Middle East & Africa Conference (TFME) is taking place on April 28 and 29 at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Dubai.
The event is hosted by TelecomFinance, a leading monthly publication and online service offering definitive news on raising finance in the telecoms sector.
“The Middle East and Africa can no longer be seen as mere emerging markets, this region is rapidly maturing and it is more important than ever for vendors to be focusing on this market,” said Ihab Ghattas, assistant president, Middle East region, Huawei Technologies.
“The TelecomFinance conference is pivotal in providing companies with insight into strategies for embracing unique opportunities and meeting future challenges for this region.”
“For Huawei we will be focusing on the importance of broadband convergence for future development in the Middle East and Africa,” he added.
“For a society to achieve the goal of total connectivity, the network must use many different technologies, some of which are more suited to certain environments than others. In essence, different services and activities optimally are provided by different types of connectivity, and broadband convergence leverages each technology’s comparative advantage.”
During the event Huawei will be discussing wireless broadband network solutions, full-service operations, energy-saving and emission-reduction technologies and multiple mobile ultra wideband (UWB) services and LTE solutions.
As a leader in ALL-IP convergence, Huawei will explain how operators can minimise risks in mode selection and how the company can help operators to build 2G/3G/4G converged networks, to smoothly evolve their networks, and to protect their long-term investments.
In addition, Huawei is fully aware of operators' urgent needs for green network building.
At the event, Huawei will share its experience in green network building and also demonstrate its brand new green network building and end-to-end energy-saving and emission-reduction solutions.
Claire Landon, Editor of TelecomFinance, said: “Huawei, a longstanding partner of the TelecomFinance conferences, has been at the forefront of technological innovation and network rollout in the Middle East and Africa. TelecomFinance, for its part, aims to stay ahead of the curve, being the first news outlet to unearth high-level telecoms M&A and fundraising intelligence across the region.
“The third annual TFME conference is the year’s premier platform for connecting telecoms operators to financing, while exploring key issues including technology, convergence and regulation.” – TradeArabia News Service
