Minerva to put up good show at Gitex Saudi

Minerva, the largest regional value-added distributor for Motorola Wireless Broadband in the region, will showcase its cost effective products at the Gitex Saudi Arabia 2009 as part of its regional expansion plans.
The company will also unveil its latest technologies, such as Motorola’s Professional Digital Two-Way Radio product line, to existing and new channel partners.
Minerva/ Motorola are participating in Gitex Saudi Arabia for the first time, with their own stand, said a company official.
Marking its presence at the main trade exhibition in Saudi Arabia, Minerva/Motorola are showcasing their existing and latest technology range within the wireless space.
Some of the technologies that are on display include broadband solution offerings such as the new Motorola Point to Point series.
Additionally, Minerva has recently signed an agreement for the distribution and marketing of Motorola’s Professional Digital Two-Way Radio product line across the Middle East and Africa region.
Minerva/ Motorola’s high performance, cost effective and reliable solutions make reaching the out-of-reach distance easier than ever, commented Leo Psara, chairman of Minerva.
“Studies by BMI (Business Monitor International) have shown that IT spending in Saudi Arabia is forecasted to rise by $2.2 billion, from $3.4 billion in 2008 to $5.6 billion by 2013.
The study also showed that Saudi Arabia accounts for around 40 per cent of IT spending in the Middle East region.
"In effect, we have not seen a downturn in our market in Saudi Arabia; in fact, our partners have shown increased activity. This also motivates us to further reinforce our presence in this market," he observed.
The Saudi market is considered one of the fastest growing regions for Minerva/Motorola, where sales have increased by 30 per cent in 2008.
To further indorse the expansion, Minerva/Motorola have unveiled plans to open a new office in Riyadh, which will allow them to provide their customers with the best possible service and support.
"Business for Minerva/Motorola has been steadily growing at a rate over 50 per cent year by year. The MEA region is an important region for us and the MEA market has shown an outstanding growth during the last 5 years," he noted.
"At this year’s Gitex Saudi Arabia we were looking to educate visitors and end-users about our unique wireless broadband solution offerings, as well as strengthen Motorola’s market leading position and highlight the regional value added support that Minerva offers to its customers."
