Emirates Computers (EC), a leading systems integrator and technology solutions provider, has demonstrated its virtualisation solutions from VMware at the recently concluded Dell Solutions Roadshow.

EC participated both as a sponsor and exhibitor in the Dell Solutions Roadshow 2009, which was held on March 31 and April 1 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi respectively.

CIOs and IT decision makers from across market verticals attended the technology preview.

“We were happy to participate in Dell’s Solutions roadshow 2009 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi,” said Bilal Hamoui, unit manager PCSS division of EC.

“Dell recently launched its new vision for the datacentres and unveiled new PowerEdge servers, which use Intel’s next-generation Xeon processors providing breakthrough performance,” he added.

“The roadshow was an ideal platform for Emirates Computers to showcase our top end solutions on the new Dell platform that we have added to our enterprise offerings.”

EC is a premier partner for Dell in the region, and with the new set of solutions that Dell has to offer, is upbeat about making further inroads into the market.

“Over the past few years, we have seen remarkable growth in Dell’s share of the server market1,” Hamoui noted.

“More recently, we have seen an increased interest from customers in the region for deploying virtualised server environments. Emirates Computers offers cutting-edge virtualisation software from VMWare, integrated on Dell platforms, to help fulfil the objectives of server consolidation.

“This roadshow served as an ideal opportunity to further highlight the value proposition that Emirates Computers, as a one-stop solution provider, offers enterprise customers.”
