Batelco unveils smallest mobile USB modem

Batelco has become the first telecom company in GCC to launch O-net, the smallest, sleekest, lightest and most technologically-advanced mobile broadband USB modem in the market.
The new O-net Mobile Broadband device is a proof that ‘Great things come in small packages’,” said Batelco media and government relations general manager, Ahmed Al Janahi.
“The new O-net device enables customers to browse the Internet, send and receive SMS, chat using existing instant messaging service and access business applications, all from the convenience of a laptop or PC, anywhere and anytime. Large volumes of data such as large e-mail attachments can now be downloaded faster than ever before,” he noted.
“Additionally, the device also uses an external memory slot that can be used as flash so users can store up to 8GB of documents which is a fantastic added convenience. The external memory cards are available separately, Al Janahi explained.
Batelco launched O-net Mobile Broadband, the fastest and best HSDPA service in Bahrain in January of this year. Batelco O-net Mobile Broadband speed is up to 14.4 mpbs in some hot spots.

A variety of prepaid and postpaid packages are available for O-net Mobile Broadband including BD10 (for 1GB download capacity and 45 free SMS monthly); BD14 (4GB download capacity and 45 free SMS monthly) and BD29 (10GB download capacity and 75 free SMS monthly)
The new O-net Mobile Broadband device is also available on a 12-months installments plan at BD 6.5 per month.
