Huawei to extend Jordan centre's services

Dubai, October 29, 2008

Huawei Technologies (Huawei) said the newly-launched Professional Services Competence Center (PSCC) in Jordan will extend its services to operators across the Middle East region.

Huawei, a leader in providing next generation telecommunication solutions to operators around the world, said the Jordan PSCC complements the recent openings of Egypt Global Technical Assistance Center (GTAC) and the Bahrain Regional Global Technical Service (GTS). Huawei has been consistent in its strategy of focusing on the Middle East as the key growth region.

Jordan PSCC is co-located with the regional service development team focused on boosting consulting and professional services solutions.

'Jordan provides a stable environment and high calibre resources and this new PSCC can greatly enhance our service quality to meet our fast-growing business in this region,' said Liu Peng, vice president Delivery and Services, Huawei Middle East.

Huawei established a Middle East centre for Engineering and Deployment Services in Saudi Arabia during this year complying with the rapid growth in infrastructure sales.

Adding Jordan PSCC to its Middle East services provides a robust base to serve the region across the service solutions spectrum.

Despite the turbulence in the global economy, the Middle East telecoms market continued its rapid growth complementing the relative stability of regional economies.

Jordan PSCC reflects on Huawei success in the Middle East enhancing its capability of handling complex solution requirements.

'The establishment of the PSCC is another proof of Huawei's long-term commitment to provide personalised, world-class services to our Middle East customer base,' said  Wang Jia Ding, president, Huawei - Middle East.

'For the first time in this region has a vendor established a professional service centre offering localised valuable services,' he added.

Inauguration of the new PSCC in Jordan took place on October 19, 2008 and was celebrated by the presence of Joe So, vice president of Global Technical Service and  Liu Peng, vice president Delivery and Services of Huawei Middle East. - TradeArabia News Service
