Kingston sees robust growth for memory solutions

Dubai, October 6, 2008

Kingston Technology Company said it is experiencing unprecedented growth for its memory solutions in the Middle East and African markets.

The company said besides hosting its channel partners across the Middle East, it will also showcase its latest memory products and highlight forthcoming launches at Gitex 2008, where the company will be exhibiting alongside its MEA distributors.

Hot Kingston Technology-related topics at Gitex will be the company's range of HyperX DDR3 memory modules, targeted at the Middle East’s growing needs for high speed high performance modules; its largest-capacity 32GB DataTraveler 150 (DT150) USB Flash drive for carrying entire libraries of professional documents, images, video and audio files; and ValueRAM server memory, which enables manufacturers to reduce overall cost of hardware ownership.

The company said its key regional event, called the channel briefing, will take place on October 21 and will include perspective on the memory sector's growth in 2007, new trends coming to the market in 2008, and how Kingston Technology and its distributors and retailers can support the data production boom in the Middle East.

The company's president and co-founder John Tu along with other senior executives plan to visit the Gitex Technology Week, followed by travel to Egypt and other key markets to update distributors and customers about the latest trends in storing both corporate and consumer information generated on computers, mobile phones, and cameras in a secure and affordable way.

"Both businesses and consumers are creating tremendous volumes of data requiring memory-based storage on mobile devices, and Kingston Technology as a result is experiencing unprecedented growth in the Middle East and Africa across all of our product lines, with particular uptake for USB flash drives and Micro SD cards," said Antoine Harb, business development manager for the Middle East & Africa at Kingston Technology.

"Distributors, retailers, resellers and other conduits to Kingston Technology's customers have a fundamental understanding of the needs of both businesses and consumers in the Middle East, and enable us to create the appropriate mix of memory solutions to address the volumes of video, audio, and corporate content currently being developed and stored in the region," he added. - TradeArabia News Service
