CGC to offer SanDisk products in Qatar

US-based SanDisk Corporation said it has joined hands with Consolidated Gulf Company (CGC) to offer SanDisk storage and flash memory products in Qatar.
SanDisk, the world's largest supplier of flash storage cards said its strategy to offer easy access to its best products would be met through CGC, which is the largest seller of mobile phones as well as the largest telecom and IT solution provider in Qatar.
The distribution agreement was announced by Tareq Husseini, SanDisk's Middle East and Africa sales director; MP Sharma, the president of Techmart and Anil Mahajan, the head of business development at CGC at a joint press conference in Doha.
Under the agreement, CGC will work closely with SanDisk's distributor in Dubai, Techmart, Nokia's original accessories and enhancements partner in the Middle East, to promote, support, market and distribute SanDisk products in Qatar through a wide range of retail outlets.
"It gives me immense satisfaction to see our partnership with CGC growing leaps and bounds," said Sharma.
"In association with SanDisk, we are determined to meet the increasing needs of Qatari market, which is full of potential and opportunity as far as memory cards are concerned."
SanDisk's product portfolio includes flash memory cards for mobile phones, digital cameras and camcorders; digital audio/video players; USB flash drives for consumers and the enterprise; embedded memory for mobile devices; and solid state drives for computers.
The company's storage and flash memory products are globally recognised and widely used in mobile phones, digital cameras, MP3 players and other mobile devices that use removable storage cards to store digital images, video, music files and data.

SanDisk recently launched its new 32-gigabyte Extreme III CompactFlash (CF) card, which combines world-class storage capacity with fast data transfer rates. The new memory card is designed to meet the demands of professional digital videographers and photographers.
