Global telecommunication services provider the Comium Group Holding said it will provide WiMAX services through nine licences across several markets in East and West Africa including Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia and Burundi.

A leader in the business in the Middle East and Africa, the company said the expansion plan also involves the appointment of a new management team at its subisdiary Comium Data.

Tony Ghattas, currently the chief operating officer (COO) and formerly the vice president of Business Development for the Comium Group, along with Comium Data’s seasoned and expert team have been assigned the role of driving Comium Data towards becoming a leading wireless data Service Provider.
