Batelco, Zajil in 'breaking news' pact

Batelco, Bahrain's leading integrated communications provider, has signed an agreement with Zajil Press for distribution of local breaking news through an SMS channel on the Batelco “0” Portal.

The new content will be available on its Mobile portal Batelco “O” portal for Arabic speaking customers, said a company press release.

To subscribe for the new service, customers must send the message Zajil to 4400. For only 750 fils per week, customers will receive unlimited breaking news in Arabic language, via SMS, the release said.

Registration will be free for the first week for customers who subscribe to the service for the first time during the months of June and July.

Batelco “O” Portal can be accessed through two channels - wap.o.com.bh from mobile handsets or www.o.com.bh from any pc or laptop. Batelco “O” portal has been designed to be user friendly and offers an optimum experience for users.
 
“The new content adds to the amazing variety that is already available on Batelco’s O Portal,” said Batelco group board secretary and company spokesman, Ahmed Al Janahi.-TradeArabia News Service
