Mena telecom opens WiMAX site

Mena Telecom has opened its main WiMAX network site in Seef area as part of its plans to launch new nationwide network for its WiMAX range of products and services.
The site was officially opened by KFH-Bahrain chief executive officer and managing director and Mena Telecom chairman Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat.
'Mena Telecom is implementing a WiMAX 802.16e network that puts Bahrain at the forefront of global wireless technology and it is only fitting that we have world-class network facilities to guarantee that our customers receive nothing but the best in terms of service, quality and customer care,' he said.
'This centre has been engineered to the highest international standards and we are very proud of what has been achieved.'
'This world-class facility will be an important centre for operations that will shape, control and constantly improve the performance of all aspects of the network.
'It includes a call centre, a network operation centre, and leading experts in WiMAX and Internet Protocol technologies plus a dedicated team of Motorola engineers and technicians who will continuously monitor and maintain network quality and reliability.'
Bahrain has made its mark on the world map by being the first country in the Middle East to deploy a nation-wide 16e WiMAX network.-TradeArabia News Service
