TrendMicro appoints new managers

Trend Micro, one of the region’s key content security providers has recruited two new managers – Arshad Sheikh and Mohammed Hamdan – to consolidate its place in the regional market.

“These appointments are part of our continued investment in personnel and proof of our commitment to an expanded service in the region,” said Justin Doo, managing director, Trend Micro Middle East/North Africa.

Arshad Sheikh joins Trend Micro as channel account manager. Sheikh comes from Vision Horizons, where he was executive manager, responsible for the strategy behind the company start-up. He brings with him a wealth of distribution and channel experience, gained at Mindware SA and the National Technology Company, among others, the company said in a statement.

Mohammed Hamdan as Sales Engineer joins Sheikh. A solutions-oriented security specialist, Hamdan has previously worked at ArcSight, RSA Security, Juniper Networks and Cisco Systems. He joins Trend Micro from the National Technology Company in Riyadh.

“Capable professionals such as Mohammed Hamdan are pivotal to navigating new challenges,” added Doo.

Both will be based in Riyadh and report to the head office in Dubai, UAE.

“I’m looking forward to driving the channel in this region and taking Trend Micro to greater heights,” said Sheikh.
