Dubai, September 13, 2007
Websense has announced the registering of its office in Dubai Silicon Oasis.
The new office will serve as the headquarters for Websense’s operations in the MEA (Middle East and Africa) region.
In addition, Websense announced the appointment of Computerlinks as its authorised distributor for the Middle East – reinforcing its commitment to both customers and the channel in the region.
“Websense has been active in the Middle East for more than 8 years and we have a strong commitment to the region,” said Steve Grey, MEA regional manager, Websense.
“Our ME office will provide on-the-ground support for our customers and channel partners.”
He said: “Websense’s work with Computerlinks in other regions and this agreement extends this relationship to the Middle East. Now that we will have an office with on-the-ground support, we are formally building up a distribution channel to better serve our customers in the region.”
Computerlinks (formerly known as Fusion Distribution) will distribute the complete range of Websense products and services in the region, in addition to developing and building the Websense channel.
Computerlinks will also extend training and after-sales service support to the channel.
Computerlinks marketing director Lee Reynolds said: “We are very pleased to be working with Websense to develop their distribution channel in the region. This widens the portfolio of security products and solutions we offer to our channel partners across the region.”
Websense protects more than 25 million employees from external and internal computer security threats.
