i2 has posted record sales at Gitex Shopper, almost double of what was achieved last year

This is attributed to the high number of visitors the i2 CompuME stand attracted, a wider range of products and brands that were on display and exciting promotions.

'We are happy with the response we received this year. This is the first time i2 and CompuME had a combined stand, this is following the merger of the two companies early this year. It helped us to offer an exceptional product range to customers, going beyond mobile phones to include a wider IT product portfolio like MP3s, laptops and accessories,' said senior vice-president, retail, Dikran Tchablakian.

'The feedback we have received from customers is very positive and we have made double the turnover compared to last year. We intend to continue our partnership with Gitex Shopper which has proved very beneficial to us, not only in terms of sales but also in creating more awareness about our product offerings and services,' he added.

The i2-CompuME stand ran two promotions this year, one in which shoppers who purchase any goods with a value of Dh1,000 ($278) and above receive a scratch card that entitles them to win special gifts, such as mobile phones, laptops, etc.
