Belden to showcase new products at Gitex
Dubai, September 3, 2007
Belden will showcase its new range of products, including the wireless access system, the NanoSkew Brilliance Video twist and the 10GX IDC System at Gitex 2007.
The company, which specialises in the design and manufacture of signal transmission systems for data networking and for a wide range of specialist electronics markets, will also display a comprehensive range of products for different applications, including wireless and the EMEA Master Catalogue.
Belden’s Wireless Access System is a fourth-generation solution designed to greatly simplify installation and offer improved performance over current technology with seamless mobility, high security, no co-channel interference and unmatched system capacity, the company said in a statement.
The new technology is based on the Channel Blanket approach that has many benefits. It enables customers to have the true mobility they need instead of just portability – in other words, it combines the mobility of wireless with the ease and simplicity of a hard-wired network. It combines voice, video and data networking, and increases throughput, while access points require only the simplest of installations.
There is no set-up or configuration required at the individual access points, so it is easy to plan, install, test and maintain. MAC’s (Moves, Adds and Changes) are also easily achieved by simply adding, removing or moving an access point.
The NanoSkew Brilliance VideoTwist cables will also be on display, which offer the high performance solution for professional video/data installations. They are designed to provide superior video transmission, KVM (keyboard, video and mouse) and data transmissions over Unshielded Twisted Pairs (UTPs). This includes NanoSkew in two versions that use non-bonded pairs and provide the best low skew characteristics and the longest video transmission capabilities, making the cables ideal for high performance, video-only transmissions.
The 10GX IDC System is a new solution for building large, space-efficient cross-connect systems, which are easy to install and easy to maintain, as a cost-effective alternative to modular patch panels. It is designed to deliver 10G performance, handling 10GBase-T data networking and multimedia applications with headroom to spare. It is of particular interest for Enterprise network termination rooms, Main distribution rooms; Consolidation points, Data center main distribution areas, Horizontal distribution areas, and Zone distribution areas.
“We have carefully studied our client profiles and have created a product display that will appeal to a diversity of market requirements. We are very excited to be participating at Gitex this year, as we believe the event is an excellent platform to demonstrate the practicality, benefits and flexibility of our products,” said Belden’s EMEA Marketing Communications Manager Berry Medendorp. – TradeArabia News Service
